Jimmy Warren

BIO

Jimmy Warren is a seasoned blues artist with the ability to capture the attention of any audience.  This self taught guitarist fell in love with the blues  25 years ago and has been hooked ever since.  “I was never the same after hearing my first Son House & Robert Johnson songs.  There was something heartfelt and genuine coming from there music, it seemed real.”

One year after the day of Warren picking up the guitar, he was standing on stage at Buddy Guys in Chicago, jamming with some of the best local musicians around.  It was not long before Jimmy was being invited by local blues legend Buddy Scott to come and sit in at Chicago blues clubs like the Checkerboard Lounge, Rosa’s, Lee’s Unleaded Blues and more.

It was through Scott that Jimmy caught the eye of several other blues artists and began sitting in and performing with other known artists.  They included, Sugar Blue, Byther Smith, Jr Wells, Buddy Miles, George Baze, Left Dizz, Nate Turner, Little Mack Simmons and more.  Jimmy also was leading and performing with his own self titled band and making fans across Illinois.  Jimmy was invited to perform at the famed SXSW showcase and was getting great attention and reviews.
